Lars Vilhuber

I am a research professor in the Economics Department of Cornell University, and the Executive Director of the Labor Dynamics Institute there.

My interests lie in labor economics, data privacy, confidentiality, and dissemination, and reproducibility, open science, and research transparency (see my research statement). My CV has a (mostly) complete list of my publications and working papers.

Since 2018, I am the American Economic Association’s Data Editor. I chair the Scientific Committee of CASD, the French secure data center system.

I was also previously Co-Chair, Innovations in Data and Experiments for Action (IDEA) Initiative at J-PAL. At the Journal of Privacy and Confidentiality, I was the Managing (executive) Editor from 2018-2024. I wrapped up my tenure on the American Statistical Association’s Committee on Privacy and Confidentiality as chair in 2021, having been a member since 2016. For other past activities, see my CV
