lv39-2014-square.jpg

I am a research professor in the Economics Department of Cornell University, and the Executive Director of the Labor Dynamics Institute there. Since 2018, I am the American Economic Association’s Data Editor. I chair the Scientific Committee of CASD, the French secure data center system.

I was also previously Co-Chair, Innovations in Data and Experiments for Action (IDEA) Initiative at J-PAL. At the Journal of Privacy and Confidentiality, I was the Managing (executive) Editor from 2018-2024. I wrapped up my tenure on the American Statistical Association’s Committee on Privacy and Confidentiality as chair in 2021, having been a member since 2016.

My interests lie in labor economics, data privacy, confidentiality, and dissemination, and reproducibility, open science, and research transparency.
